PROGRAM OVERVIEW<\/p>\n

IRUD Summer Course is a short course held by the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Indonesia. IRUD Summer Course takes the form of a series of online lectures and activities, attended by international and domestic participants. This program is held annually and concentrates on current issues in international relations, delivered by academicians and professionals in order to provide a vast experience for all participants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, with the grand theme of \u201cCENTERING INDONESIA: Perspectives and Contemporary Issues\u201d, IRUD Summer Course aims to be a platform for academic discussion on pertinent issues related to Indonesia\u2019s cultural identity, foreign policy, law, peace and security, and globalization. Additionally, this year\u2019s summer course aims to facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge perspectives on the aforementioned issues. As an archipelago with 1.340 recognized ethnic groups and 652 distinct languages, Indonesia\u2019s diversity presents unique challenges related to the expression and protection of human rights (including cultural identities), the construction of foreign policy, the enforcement of law, and the management of globalizing forces. However, despite the intricacy of Indonesian issues, there has been a relative dearth of platforms available to discuss Indonesia-focused perspectives. Thus, this summer course attempts to foster fresh understandings on Indonesian issues among international and domestic participants alike.<\/span><\/p>\n
