{"id":31623,"date":"2024-06-07T11:15:30","date_gmt":"2024-06-07T04:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hi.fisip.undip.ac.id\/v1\/?p=31623"},"modified":"2024-10-20T11:16:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-20T04:16:18","slug":"undip-students-voices-of-solidarity-a-peaceful-action-for-palestine-and-ukraine-on-the-international-day-for-victims-of-violence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hi.fisip.undip.ac.id\/v1\/2024\/06\/07\/undip-students-voices-of-solidarity-a-peaceful-action-for-palestine-and-ukraine-on-the-international-day-for-victims-of-violence\/","title":{"rendered":"Undip Students&#8217; Voices of Solidarity: A Peaceful Action for Palestine and Ukraine on the International Day for Victims of Violence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Commemorating the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression and the United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, students of the War Crimes course from the 2021 batch of the International Relations Study Programme, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized a peaceful action in front of Building D of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences on the 6th of June 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The peaceful action was called \u2018Voices of IRUD\u2019, providing a means for International Relations students to voice opinions and actions for victims of war and conflict in Palestine and Ukraine. This action was initiated and organized by the lecturer Dr. Dra. Reni Windiani, M.S. and Anjani Tri Fatharini, S.IP., M.A. to close the lecture in the War Crimes class with a non-violence action and promote student creativity in campaigning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This action was divided into 6 orations practiced by 6 groups of students. Starting with Group 6 delivered an oration with the theme \u2018Ecocide is Genocide\u2019 which opened the audience&#8217;s eyes to the ecocide that occurred in Ukraine as a result of Russian military aggression. Followed by Group 1 with the theme \u2018For Every Life: A Tribute to Palestinians\u2019 which voiced a speech as a tribute to the Palestinians. This action was continued by Group 4 with the theme \u2018Echoes of Despair: The Russia-Ukraine Conflict Through Their Eyes\u2019 which performed a skit depicting the Russia-Ukraine conflict through the eyes of Ukrainians. The fourth group to show was Group 5 with the theme \u2018ICC 4 Palestine\u2019 which questioned the existence of an international court in the genocide of Palestinians. Next, continued by Group 2 with the theme \u2018Weapons Silent, Trauma Resilient\u2019 which reminded the audience of the suffering of war victims, and how the trauma affected them. It was then closed off by Group 3 with the theme \u2018Voices of Justice: International Solidarity for Israel-Palestine\u2019 which voiced a reminder to always show our solidarity as citizens of the international community for Palestine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The peaceful action was then closed by the lecturer by taking documentation in the form of photos and videos with all participants.
