As a commitment to improving the quality of human resources that are adaptive to technological developments and the growing demand for visual communication in the digital era, the International Relations Student Association (HMPS HI) through its Media and Technology Division presents a work program called Design Class. This program is designed as a platform for developing graphic design skills, focusing not only on technical aspects but also on strengthening the understanding of effective and communicative visual concepts.

Design Class adopts a transfer learning approach, which emphasizes the sharing of design knowledge and skills among functionaries from various divisions within the organization. Through this approach, it is expected that design capabilities will be evenly distributed, enabling each division to independently develop its own visual content. This program is particularly relevant considering the increasing need for engaging and informative visual designs to support organizational publications, especially on social media platforms such as Instagram HMPS HI.

In its implementation, Design Class is conducted in a structured manner, guided by a learning framework prepared by the Media and Technology Division as the main facilitator. The materials provided include an introduction to basic design principles, such as color usage, typography, composition, and effective layout. Participants are also introduced to various design tools and applications that support the creative process.

Beyond theoretical learning, Design Class emphasizes hands-on practice to ensure participants can directly apply the knowledge they gain. Through exercises and case studies, participants are encouraged to create visual designs that meet the actual needs of the organization. This approach aims to enhance both understanding and confidence in producing quality visual content.

More than just a training program, Design Class aims to foster independence across all divisions in producing visual designs. With evenly distributed skills, each division is expected to no longer rely solely on one unit but instead actively contribute to fulfilling their own design needs. This ultimately enhances the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

The enthusiasm of participants serves as a key indicator of the program’s success. Active participation in learning sessions, discussions, and design practices reflects an improvement in both understanding and skills among the functionaries. Moreover, the interactive learning environment fosters collaboration and encourages the exchange of ideas and creativity.

With the implementation of Design Class, it is expected that this program will serve as a foundation for building a strong visual culture within HMPS HI. In the future, Design Class is expected to continue developing as a sustainable program that not only enhances technical skills but also cultivates creative, innovative individuals who are capable of adapting to the evolving demands of visual communication in the digital era.
