To promote a competitive and academic atmosphere on campus, the Student Association of the International Relations Program at Universitas Diponegoro (HMPS HI Undip), through its Division of Scientific and Analytical Affairs, officially launched its first flagship program titled IRUD’s MUN School (IRMUNS) on May 10, 2025. This initiative serves as a strategic starting point to cultivate students’ interests and talents in simulated diplomacy, particularly through Model United Nations (MUN) activities.

IRMUNS functions as both an introductory and developmental platform for students who are interested in joining MUN conferences. The program offers intensive training that focuses on public speaking, position paper writing, negotiation strategies, and simulation practice. These sessions are aimed at equipping students to compete confidently at regional, national, and international MUN events.

The program features two main components: four MUN Coaching Sessions and two Mini MUN simulations. It is scheduled to be held twice during one HMPS HI Undip working period. The first cycle took place from May 10 to June 1, 2025, while the second is planned for the final quarter of the year.

The Even Semester 2024/2025 edition of IRMUNS received positive feedback and enthusiastic participation from IR students. The Coaching Sessions were held on May 10, 11, 17, and 18, followed by the Mini MUN on May 31 and June 1. The sessions were conducted under the guidance of Ilfa Rahmaini, a 2023 IRUD student with a distinguished record in MUN conferences, whose expertise significantly enriched the learning experience for participants.

The implementation of IRMUNS is expected to open new opportunities for students to sharpen their diplomatic skills, critical thinking, and sensitivity to global issues. Moving forward, IRMUNS is hoped to continue and become a flagship agenda in the academic development of International Relations students at Universitas Diponegoro.
