Department of International Relations launched IRUD’s Summer Course Program Focusing in Environment Issue
and Local Wisdom
With the grand theme of “Indonesia Local Wisdom to Protect the Environment”, Department of International Relations Universitas Diponegoro (IRUD) officially announced its Summer Course Program. The 11-day summer course will be held at 12th-23rd September 2022 and will provide insights on protecting the environment through the perspective of Indonesian local wisdom. as a non-degree program under Universitas Diponegoro, IRUD Summer Course Program will be targeted not only undergraduate students but also graduate students globally
The offered course ranges from environmental and regional planning, ecofeminism, environmental law and justice, haze management, global governance, environmental crime and international development in political ecology. From the perspective of Environment Studies and Local Wisdom, will be delivered by FISIP UNDIP academician and expert: Professor Sudharto P. Hadi, MES, PhD and Dr. Hartuti Purnaweni, MPA. Whether issue related to Environmental Crime and Law will be delivered by IRUD lecturer : Ika Riswani Putranti, S.H,M.H, PhD and Muhammad Faizal Alfian, S.IP, M.A. In order to broaden the participants perspective international expert from University of New South Wales Fengshi Wu, Ph.D.AFAHE will provide lecturer related to global environment. Dr Hanim Kamaruddin from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia will be delivered course related to haze management. Dr. William Arrocha from Middlebury Institute of International Studies will deliver a course on Human Rights and Global Migrations. And the last but not least, Dr. William Lock will give lecturing session on international development and Political Ecology.
All of the course will be held virtually and will be delivered by inspiring speakers. Besides, after gaining new perspective by inspiring lecturer virtually, the participants will attend two practical class by learning how to create an eco-friendly bag and tasty Indonesian cuisines.
