Diponegoro University – Semarang. In order to encourage students to become an entrepreneur and create an Entrepreneurship Environment Higher Education, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held a Socialization of Entrepreneurial Student Program (PMW) in 2023 on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 08.00 WIB at the 4th Floor of the Entrepreneurship Hall (KWU) Faculty of Economics and Business, Undip Tembalang Campus, Semarang.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. In his remarks, Prof. Faisal revealed that Undip together with the government had committed to help provide budget funding. “Nearly around 600 million is provided for entrepreneurship and monitored for the absorption progress. If this year it can reach more and the output obtained is in accordance with the target, of course the budget will be increased,” he said.

At the national level, Prof. Faisal hopes that this PMW activity can become a provision to compete in the Student Entrepreneurial Development Program (P2MW). “It is hoped that this year PMW activities can produce entrepreneurs who will be able to compete nationally and support achievements for Undip. It is hoped that this PMW activity can make entrepreneurship as one of the sectors that helps the Indonesian economy,” concluded Prof. Faisal.

Activities moderated by Anjani Tri Fatharini, S.IP., M.A. as a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Undip was followed by the presentation of material on the Student Entrepreneur Program (PMW) by the resource person. The first resource person is Anis Qomariah, S.A.B., M.Lling., a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Undip and PIC of PMW who described material on the systematic writing of the 2023 PMW proposals.

Diponegoro University Entrepreneurial Student Program (PMW UNDIP) is a technology -based program given to student entrepreneurs through a business incubator institution to carry out the incubation process for the entrepreneurs of Diponegoro University students. Thus they are ready to establish a beginner company based on science and technology (science, technology and art) that brings benefits (profitable) and sustainable.

Furthermore, the presentation of the material by the second resource person, Narulita Santi, S.T., M.Eng. as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering Undip and PIC of P2MW were about the tips and tricks of the Undip Entrepreneur Student Program. PMW is expected to be the forerunner to encourage job creators at Diponegoro University and become a place to create products and services where products or services are based on the development of science and technology.
